Mehtab Kardaş's 21st solo exhibition titled “Miniature”, which combines the miniature style with a different understanding and interprets it with a contemporary style, met art lovers at Evrim Art Gallery on March 11, 2023.
At the opening of the exhibition, works about the slow infiltration of forest green into the artist, whose Istanbul is filled with sea blue, was appreciated by the audience.
Artist Kardaş expressed his thoughts about the exhibition with the following words:
“The starting point of my works is to expand the scope of illumination and miniature art, to open it to new shapes and subjects, to adapt it to the aesthetic understanding of our age and to the rapid pace of change, while remaining within the traditional rules of miniature technique. I am very happy that my works meet the audience. I will continue to create meaningful experiments and new dreams, trying to transform this art into new expressions. I invite all art lovers to my exhibition.”

Who is Mehtab Kardas?
Born in Istanbul in 1949, Mehtab Kardaş graduated from Üsküdar American Girls' High School. The artist, who started his artistic studies, which he postponed for many years, with Mamure Öz in 1990, continued the two-year certificate program at Topkapı Palace in 1992-93, and the courses of Prof.Kerim Silivrili (Mimar Sinan University Traditional Turkish Arts Department) in 1994-95. he did. She was awarded the title of “Associated Academician” by Greci-Marino Accademia del Verbano in 1998 she. The artist has participated in 21 national and international group exhibitions as well as 25 personal exhibitions.
