Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer chaired the meeting held with the participation of Deputy Ministers and all general managers to make evaluations about the activities carried out by the Ministry in the earthquake zone.

At the meeting held in the MEB Tevfik İleri Hall, the measures taken for the 8th grade students who were affected by the earthquake and who will enter LGS and the 12th grade students who will enter the YKS, and the activities related to these courses were discussed.

At the meeting, where the education processes in the earthquake area were also discussed, Minister Özer said, “We formed the 'Earthquake Affected Students Tracking and Monitoring Group' to ensure the continuity of the education processes of our students who were transferred to other provinces due to the earthquake disaster. Again, we will continue to stand by both our teachers and students by mobilizing all our means for our offspring in the earthquake zone. We will closely monitor the education processes of our earthquake survivors and meet all their needs.” made its assessment.

Emphasizing that school is the most important address for sustaining life after the earthquake without interruption, Özer said, “We have established 127 primary schools and 168 secondary schools in the disaster area for our children to continue their education.” said.
