Kocaeli Water Accidents Prevention Center (KOSKEM), operating under the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, held a meeting for the 2023 sea season. At the meeting held at Kocaeli Fire Department, the works to be done in the new season were discussed. At the meeting, the requests, opinions and suggestions of non-governmental organizations were evaluated.

13 DAYS A WEEK IN 7 REGIONS

Head of Fire Brigade Ömer İslamoğlu, Response Branch Manager Hüseyin Gürbüz, representatives of institutions and NGOs attended the meeting. During the season, lifeguard services will be provided seven days a week in XNUMX coastal regions of Kocaeli.

STRONG TRAINING AT THE POOL

At the meeting, it was discussed in which regions the public institutions and non-governmental organizations would take part and the determination of the number of participants. The lifeguards who will be on duty during the season will first start the preparations with pool work. Lifeguards will undergo rigorous training for prompt and on-the-spot response to drowning incidents.

CONDITION AND RESCUE TECHNIQUES

Lifeguards will learn conditioning and rescue techniques in swimming pools in Izmit, Gebze, Körfez, Karamürsel and Gölcük. At the end of the training, he will receive lifeguard certificates. At the end of the lifeguard training, a joint rescue drill will be held with all participants.
