A funeral ceremony was held at the Alsancak Hocazade Mosque for Kemal Zorlu, one of the well-known business people of Izmir and one of the former presidents of the Altay Sports Club, who died in the hospital where he was treated. The ceremony held for Zorlu, who passed away at the age of 73, was attended by his wife Semra Zorlu, his daughter Sibel Zorlu, Chairman of the Aegean Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (ESİAD), and his family members, as well as Izmir Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor. Kemal Zorlu was sent off on his last journey with the funeral prayer performed after the noon prayer. Zorlu's body was buried in the family cemetery in Pınarbaşı.
