Former football player Gökhan Zan, who made the voice of Hatay heard during the earthquake process, and legendary player Ünal Karaman, one of the former captains of Trabzonspor, joined the IYI Party.

Zan and Karaman were presented with the party badge by Chairman Meral Akşener during the IYI Party's Group Meeting.
Zan said, “As you know, I come from Hatay, Antakya, which is one of the lands of the civilization that has accumulated ancient knowledge until the history of humanity, where civilization flourished. But at the same time, I come from such an unfortunate city that I come from a geography that cannot stand up from earthquakes, disasters, wars, occupations. However, at the same time, we are the children of the country that is reborn from its ashes every time the people of Hatay carry the burden on their backs with their own nails. Hatay is our father's last gift to us. I am sure that we will live in the future, just as we lived before this, in order to restore and build Hatay earthquake zone, in a fair legal brotherhood," he said.
Karaman said, “I greet you all with respect, dear members of the brave movement. It is with Turkish nationalists that I can leave a trace on this road that I set out with great hopes.
