The Law on Social Security and General Health Insurance Law, which includes the regulations regarding those who are old at retirement (EYT), and the Law No. 375 Amending the Decree-Law was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.

With the regulation in the law, a temporary article was added to the Social Security and General Health Insurance Law, and those who request pension after the effective date of the law according to the relevant laws, will benefit from old-age or retirement pension if they meet the conditions other than age in the said provisions.

Based on this provision, no retroactive payments will be made and no retroactive rights can be claimed. In the event that those who are granted a retirement or retirement pension for the first time and who are given a notice of resignation due to old age or pension request start to work subject to social security support premium in the last private sector workplace within 30 days following the date of leaving the job, social security support is provided from the date of starting to work. The amount corresponding to 5 points of the employer's premium will be covered by the Treasury.

If the insured person who benefits from the social security support premium employer's share discount leaves the job, this discount will not be available again.

Workers hired in public institutions and organizations, special provincial administrations and municipalities and their subsidiaries, and local government unions of which they are members, and those who have been transferred to worker status together or separately in companies with more than half of the capital belonging to special provincial administrations, municipalities and their affiliates; If they are entitled to a pension, old-age or invalidity pension, the regulations requiring the termination of their employment contracts by the public institutions and organizations or companies they are employed will be repealed.

Highlights of the law

  • Those who were employed on or before September 8, 1999 will benefit from the regulation.
  • No age limit will be applied in EYT.
  • Those who meet the conditions of premium day and insurance period other than age will be able to receive monthly.
  • A 30 percent support premium will be given to employees who start working again in the same workplace within 5 days after retirement.

  • Support will be provided from the Credit Guarantee Fund regarding the severance pay of EYT members.

  • Pension applications can be made via e-Government or to SGK.
  • There will be no salary below 5 thousand 500 liras.

How to apply for EYT?

Regulations were made for EYT applications in e-Government. When 'EYT' is typed in the e-Government search bar, it will direct you to the application screen.

EYT retirement applications can be made to social security centers in provinces and districts. Application can also be made by sending a registered document with return receipt by mail.

However, SGK warned citizens about online transactions, stating that all transactions can be made from E-Government.

Where is the e-Government EYT application screen?

After logging into the e-Government system Click on 'documentation of income, monthly allowance request document'.

Then click on the new application tab on the page.

Select 'old-age pension' as the allocation request type.

Those who will request a monthly salary under the SSK should tick '4A' and those who fall within the scope of Bağkur should tick the '4B' option. After making a selection, click the 'apply' button.
