Making a statement here, Karaismailoğlu said that the transfer of citizens from tents to container cities is a very positive development. We are making an intense effort to produce the living spaces that our citizens deserve. I hope there will be 825 containers here. Currently, 300 containers are ready, we took our guests here. We are working very devotedly to establish everything that can be in the living space, from all kinds of psychosocial support areas, soup kitchens, laundries, training tents of our Ministry of National Education, health tents," he said.
WE ARE PLANNING CONTAINER AREAS IN 15 AREAS OF THE CITY
Minister Karaismailoğlu underlined that container areas are planned in 15 regions of the city and continued as follows:
“We continue to work on infrastructure. In the second stage, we are about to finish the infrastructure works in our area, which will receive 2 thousand 400 containers, right next to both the bus station and our hospital, in the eastern part of our city. On the one hand, we carry out the transportation of our containers. We also build prefabricated buildings in the same region. We bring together 36 square meters of living space there, too. By the end of next week, I hope we will put them into service and start hosting our citizens there. Again, in the south of our city, we produce 1000 prefabricated living spaces of 30 to 35 square meters. Hopefully, we will be operational soon.”

Karaismailoğlu stated that they are doing important work to pave the way for economic mobility in the city and said, “Our shops have started to operate in the buildings that are undamaged in our city, albeit a little. We have built the infrastructure of our container areas in the organized industrial zone, and we are trying to produce living spaces for our employees there by putting some of our containers into operation.”
Expressing that they are making plans to meet the needs of public employees, Karaismailoğlu said, “There is a great dedication and intense work not only in Adıyaman, but also in all our provinces affected by the earthquake. We are working as a mobilization. I hope we will overcome these difficulties in the future, just as we have overcome them in the past.”
