After the 10 magnitude earthquake, the epicenter of which was in the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and affecting 7,4 provinces in total, the Turkish Red Crescent dispatched all first aid materials in its warehouses across the country to the earthquake zone.

Turkish Red Crescent teams gathered under the chairmanship of President Kerem Kınık at the Turkish Red Crescent Disaster Operations Center in Etimesgut, continuing their search and rescue and coordination activities in the earthquake area.

Turkish Red Crescent President Kerem Kınık said that they sent all the teams to the region.

Stating that they sent the teams in the Regional Disaster Response Centers to the earthquake region for search and rescue efforts, Kınık said, “Our tents, heaters, mobile soup kitchens, trucks, and catering vehicles were mobilized to the field. Our volunteers and professional teams were mobilized to the field.” said.

Noting that all the units of the Turkish Red Crescent are on the field now, Kınık said, “We have sent all the blood groups that may be needed from our national stocks in our blood banks to the hospitals. In this sense, we invite our citizens from all over Turkey to donate blood. In the coming hours, the number of injured and the need for blood may increase.” he said.

Pointing out that the weather conditions in the earthquake area were bad, Kınık said, “Currently, we are sending our tents and trucks to 9 provinces from Turkey's 7 disaster response centers. We are currently unloading all our capacities in our warehouses under the coordination of AFAD. Therefore, our Red Crescent logistics teams and disaster teams are mobilizing all our capacities to the field.” gave the information.

Saying that they will hold the hand of the citizens, Kınık said, "There are tents, beds, blankets, heaters, kitchen supplies and dry food in order to meet the shelter needs in the emergency aid. At the point of blood services, our shipments continue.” said.
