Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) announced that 10 people from the Northern Cyprus Volleyball Team, who were under the rubble of a hotel in Adıyaman, died in two earthquakes of 7,7 and 7,6 magnitude, the epicenter of which was in Kahramanmaraş and affecting 16 provinces.
The statement made by the Turkish Volleyball Federation is as follows:
“We have learned with deep sadness that 16 people from the Northern Cyprus Volleyball Team, who were found in the wreckage of the hotel in Adıyaman, lost their lives in the earthquake disaster that occurred in our country. May God have mercy on all our athletes and citizens who lost their lives in the procession, we express our condolences to their families and our nation.
