Kayseri Fire Brigade Saved 34 Citizens in Earthquake Zone

The Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department teams, the Kayseri team, which was under the rubble in the earthquake zone of Kahramanmaraş, reached 34 citizens alive as a result of their devoted work since the first hours of the earthquake. 237 vehicles and equipment and 362 personnel by the units of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality such as Fire Brigade, Science Affairs, KASKİ and electricity company continue their search and rescue efforts after two separate earthquakes of 10 and 7.7 magnitudes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected 7.6 provinces.

While Turkey's efforts to save the citizens under the rubble in the earthquake region continue uninterrupted in solidarity, the heroic firefighters of the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department continue to show great efforts to save the lives of earthquake victims.

THE RESULT OF 30 HOURS OF WORK SAVE MINIK MINA

The Kayseri fire brigade rescued the 3-year-old girl named Mina, who was under the rubble in the Bahar Apartment in the Hayrullah District of On İki February, Kahramanmaraş, as a result of a 30-hour work.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department personnel, who recorded those moments, said, “We have been continuing our search and rescue activities in Kahramanmaraş since the first hour of the disaster. We delivered many injured people to the health unit. We are in our 12 February district, in Hayrullah Neighborhood, a mother and her daughter are under the rubble. We will witness a miracle. Kayseri fire brigade, working hard, reached the citizens within 30 hours.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams delivered Mina, which they saved 64 hours after the earthquake, to the health teams.

EMPOWERING DIALOGUE OF BERAT AND FIRE MAN

In addition, the 6-year-old boy named Berat, who was rescued by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality firefighters from the wreckage, was reached safely, while the emotional dialogue between Berat and the firefighter was reflected on amateur cameras. When the fireman called 'Berat', little Berat said 'you're welcome' and then did what the firefighter said. The fireman calmed Berat by saying, "I'm behind you, I'm here, come on, my lion."
