For those who want to go out of the province due to the shelter needs of our citizens affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake, the Gendarmerie units have created evacuation areas in the provinces where they are located.
The evacuation of our citizens who apply to these points with a request for evacuation is provided by the most appropriate means to be determined by the authorities.
As of February 9, 2023 at 11.38 am, a total of 4.607 citizens were evacuated from the disaster area, 23.437 by road and railway and 28.044 by air.
Our evacuated citizens are placed in the accommodation areas and guesthouses determined under the coordination of the Governorships and AFAD in the provinces they will go to.
If our citizens who want to leave the disaster area with their own means of transportation make a notification to the Gendarmerie evacuation points in their places before exiting, they are directed to the shelter points in the provinces they will go to.
