After two devastating earthquakes with a magnitude of 7,7 and 7,6 in Kahramanmaraş, the 5th day has been entered. While the search and rescue efforts of the teams and the hopeful waiting of the earthquake victims continue, the harsh winter conditions in Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Gaziantep, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Şanlıurfa and Adana continue to negatively affect the people in the region. So what is the latest situation in the earthquake zone? Here is the number of dead and injured on Friday, February 10.

According to the latest information received from SAKOM, a total of 18.342 citizens lost their lives in the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Adana, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya and Elazığ; 74.242 citizens were injured. 75.780 disaster victims were evacuated from the region to other provinces. After the earthquakes, 1.509 aftershocks occurred.

A total of 30.306 search and rescue personnel, consisting of AFAD, PAK, JAK, JÖAK, DİSAK, Coast Guard, DAK, Güven, Fire Brigade, Rescue, MEB, NGOs and international search and rescue personnel, are working in the region. As a result of the negotiations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the number of search and rescue personnel from other countries is 6.810.

In addition, the total number of personnel working in the region is 121.128, together with the number of field personnel assigned from AFAD, Police, Gendarmerie, MSB, UMKE, Ambulance Teams, Volunteers, Local Security and Local Support Teams.

Excavators, tractors, cranes, dozers, trucks, water trucks, trailers, graders, vacuum trucks, etc. A total of 12.241 vehicles, including construction equipment, were shipped.

31 governors, more than 70 district governors, 19 AFAD top managers and 68 provincial directors were assigned to disaster areas.

An air bridge was established to transport personnel and materials to the region with a total of 150 aircraft affiliated to the Air Force, Land Forces, Coast Guard and Gendarmerie General Command. A total of 1.310 sorties were made.

A total of 20 ships, 2 by the Naval Forces Command and 22 by the Coast Guard Command, were assigned to the region for personnel, material shipment and evacuation.

Disaster Shelter Group

10 tents and 137.973 blankets were shipped to 1.507.494 provinces that were heavily affected by the earthquake by AFAD, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Red Crescent. The installation of 97.973 Family Life Tent has been completed.

Disaster Nutrition Group

A total of 199 mobile kitchens, 86 catering vehicles, 5 mobile bakeries and 252 service vehicles were sent to the region from the Red Crescent, AFAD, MSB, Gendarmerie and Non-Governmental Organizations (IHH, Hayrat, Beşir, Initiative Associations).

5.613.242 hot meals, 1.181.172 soups, 5.581447 liters of water, 6.152.274 breads, 3.537.062 refreshments, 16.700 teas, 449.204 beverages were distributed in the disaster area.

Disaster Psychosocial Support Group

4 Mobile Social Service Centers were assigned to the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Osmaniye and Malatya. 1.606 personnel and 156 vehicles were dispatched to the region. Psychosocial support was provided to a total of 57.316 people, 7.015 in the earthquake zone and 64.331 outside the earthquake zone.
