Among the foreign teams participating in the search and rescue work in the earthquake zone in Turkey are many teams, including the Chinese Blue Sky Rescue (Blue Sky Rescue, BSR).

300 members of the BSR team conduct search and rescue work around the clock. The team has so far rescued 7 people and found the bodies of 78 people.

10 members of the BSR rescue team are from the capital Beijing. Chen Haijun, the chief of the group of 10 people, stated that he felt the severe earthquake in Turkey from the heart of the Chinese people, that as search and rescue personnel, they understood better the Turkish citizens whose relatives were under the rubble, so they took action immediately after the earthquake.

Chinese internet users wonder who pays for travel and equipment for search and rescue personnel.

Answering this question, Chen Haijun said that they paid for the roads and equipment out of their own pockets. According to Chen, everyone went to Turkey, spending more than 20 yuan. Some people borrowed money.

Chen said, “Love has no boundaries, kinship is our common language. I will never forget a scene like this: A father was digging through the rubble with a stone, looking for his daughter. This pain is indescribable. Money is nothing compared to saving a life.” he said.

Chinese search and rescue teams are working at full speed as Chinese citizens wait for the Chinese search and rescue teams to save more lives and then return safely. BSR's 7 groups are responsible for more than 200 buildings. 7 groups work for 15 hours, sometimes eating one meal a day.

A BSR member named Nuanyang reminded that there were 200 more people under the rubble and that a local firefighter team was completely buried under the rubble during the tremors, so they will work with all their might.
