The Chinese Search and Rescue Team (CISAR), which continues its search and rescue efforts in the city of Antakya, rescued 1 more person from the wreckage of a collapsed building yesterday.

While the rescue team sent by the Chinese government was investigating the block near the location of the fourth person rescued yesterday, local citizens asked for help and were informed that there may still be signs of life in the ruins.

The Chinese rescue team immediately sent personnel carrying life-detection equipment to the area to conduct reconnaissance. An adult male was heard responding to the team. Rescue team detected the man's vital signs, and then crew members immediately proceeded to rescue efforts.

After more than 4 hours of joint efforts by the Chinese rescue team and local rescue teams, the life corridor was successfully opened at 15:30 CET and the trapped man was pulled out of the rubble 150 hours after the earthquake.
