Konya Metropolitan Municipality started programs with activities such as Niloya and Kukuli musicals, wood and ceramic painting, and playgrounds in order to support the children affected by the disaster in 11 provinces where the earthquake took place. Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay said, “We have shifted the activities we planned to do in the districts of Konya to the earthquake zone in order to contribute to the well-being and development of our children affected by the earthquake. Our event team will meet with children in 11 provinces.”
Konya Metropolitan Municipality organizes various activities in the earthquake region to support the children who were adversely affected by the devastating earthquakes, the epicenter of which is Kahramanmaraş.
Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they have mobilized all their means as Konya to meet all kinds of humanitarian needs such as infrastructure, logistics, water works, shelter, mobile kitchen, communication and energy supply since the first moment of the earthquake, and also to erase the traces of children. He said that they started children's activities.
Emphasizing that they continue to bring Konya Bilim TIRI together with children in Hatay, Mayor Altay also stated that they have started children's activities covering 11 cities affected by the earthquake. Noting that the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Children's Event team first met with children in Gaziantep Islahiye, Mayor Altay said, “We have shifted our activities that we planned to do in the districts of Konya to the earthquake zone in order to contribute to our children's well-being and their development, and we prepared an event that will last for 11 days in 20 provinces. We are doing our best to help our earthquake victims get out of their situation and have a good time.”
ACTIVITIES TO BE HELD IN 11 PROVINCES
Activities for children in the earthquake zone will continue in Gaziantep's Nurdağı district, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Malatya, Elazığ, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Kilis, Osmaniye and Adana, after Gaziantep's Islahiye district.
Within the scope of activities; Niloya and Kukuli musicals, face painting activities, wood painting, ceramic painting, inflatable playground, children's areas are created, various toys, balloons, jerseys and scarves are presented to children.
