Ankara Fire Brigade Rescued 420 Citizens from Under the Ruin

Ankara Fire Department, which went to the disaster area by air and land after receiving the news of the earthquake that stifled Turkey, pulled out 9 citizens, 112 in Kahramanmaraş and 308 in Hatay, alive, with the support of K420 dogs.

After the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department teams, which went to the region by land and air, continue to support the search and rescue efforts.

The number of citizens rescued alive by the Ankara Fire Department has reached 420.

In Kahramanmaraş, 112 citizens were removed from the rubble in 308 Hatay.

Ankara Fire Department, which took part in search and rescue efforts in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay, rescued 420 citizens who were under the rubble in these provinces.

In addition to K9 dogs, Rüzgar and Pebble, as a result of the studies in which living things were detected by the acoustic listening method used by the General Directorate of ASKİ in detecting water leaks, 112 citizens in Kahramanmaraş and 308 citizens in Hatay were reached.

Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş had previously announced that the pawed heroes of the Ankara Fire Department, Rüzgar and Çakıl, had saved 28 citizens.

Acoustic listening from ASKI

While ASKİ General Directorate teams detect signs of life in the debris with the 'acoustic listening' method, which they use to prevent water leaks and losses by underground listening, the teams of the Department of Urban Aesthetics and ANFA General Directorate support the search and rescue efforts.
