Wedding Dress Design Competition Sheds Light on Young People's Dreams

The Wedding Dress Design Competition, organized within the scope of IF Wedding Fashion İzmir Fair, to reveal the young designers who will shape the fashion of the future, brought another name to the fashion world. Hasancan Meşelik, who organized the first fashion show of her professional life at the fair last November as part of the award she won in the 12th Wedding Dress Design Competition, won great acclaim.

IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Wedding Dress, Suit and Evening Wear Fair, organized by İZFAŞ in partnership with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association, hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, sheds light on the dreams of young people with the Wedding Dress Design Competition, which has been within the scope of the fair for 13 years, on the way to bring new designers to the fashion world. In addition to different awards, the Wedding Dress Design Competition, which gives the designer candidates the opportunity to exhibit their first fashion shows in their professional lives, continues to bring new names to the sector. Organized the "Performance Fashion Show" at the 16th IF Wedding Fashion İzmir last November with the degree it achieved in the competition the previous year, Hasancan Meşelik won the admiration of fashion designers, exhibitors and visitors with Anthea's wedding dress and evening dress collection inspired by the flowers of the Aegean. Inspired by the positive comments and appreciation it received, Meşelik opened her fashion house in a short time.

Hasancan Meşelik, who started to present his designs with his own brand in the capital of bridal and evening dresses, İzmir, stated that the competition brought his life to a completely different point within a year and allowed him to achieve his dreams.

Meşelik, who launched her fashion house with her own brand less than a month after the fashion show, said, “It was an incredible feeling to take part in my first professional fashion show, where I was a contestant last year, with my own designs. The positive comments I received encouraged me to establish my own brand and open my fashion house. Recently, I created my own brand, launched my workshop and opened my fashion house. My collection includes wedding dresses and evening dresses. My first goal is to be on the podium with my own brand in IF Wedding Fashion İzmir next year, and then to open up first to Turkey and then to Europe and the world.”
