“The following statement was required regarding the news that 'there was no passport appointment in December' published in some media organs and social media.

Annual passport demand, which was around 2 million for the previous years, has exceeded 10 million 3 thousand as of December 650, before the end of this year, and it is expected to double by the end of the year.

Due to the increasing intensity after the pandemic, the approaching the end of the year, the worry of the jeep crisis in the world and various reasons, the daily passport demand, which was 8 thousand in the previous years, reached 5 thousand per day with a 48-fold increase; Despite the disruptions in the production and supply chain, none of our citizens are victimized. On the other hand, in order to prevent the victimization of our citizens and to meet the demands as quickly as possible; Additional work is done on weekdays and weekends, the processing time per person has been reduced to 8 minutes, and the appointment time has been increased to 15 days. In addition, in order to create an additional appointment capacity, it is possible to make an appointment on the same day instead of our citizens who cannot attend to their appointments.”
