TCDD Retirees living in Balıkesir organized a mawlid every year for their friends who were martyred in their regular duty and passed away after retirement. After the Mevlid-i Sharif, rice, ayran and höşmerim were served.
In Balıkesir, TCDD retirees offered pilaf, ayran and höşmerim dessert to the citizens who attended the mawlid after the mawlid al sheriff, at the TCDD Retirement Club located on Vasıfçınar Street in the Altıeylül district for the retirees who were martyred on duty and died after retirement. Making a statement after the ceremony, the President of the Association, Kutbi Çanak, said, “This year, we held the mawlid that we do every year and that we could not do for the last 2-3 years due to pandemic bans. We organized a mawlid for his friends who were martyred while working at TCDD and died after retirement. Our retired friends and those who are still working participated in the Mevlide. May Allah be pleased with our friends who attended our mawlid.
