Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality will host a special exhibition in cooperation with the Finnish Embassy. With the exhibition titled “West to East Asia CG Mannerheim's Travel Photographs (1906-1908)”, 48 historical photographs will meet art lovers in Eskişehir.

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality will host 1867 photographs taken by Finnish military leader and statesman Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim (1951~1906) during his duty in 1908-48 along the Silk Road from Central Asia to China.

The exhibition “West to East Asia Travel Photographs of CG Mannerheim (1906-1908)”, which will be opened in cooperation with the Finnish Embassy, ​​will show the historical past of the people in the Silk Road region in the early 2s, which young Lieutenant Colonel Mannerheim took with a bellows machine during his 1900-year journey in Central Asia. It consists of 48 photographs that present a colorful documentary. Mannheim's collection of more than 1100 items, housed in the National Museum of Finland, includes photographs taken for military purposes as well as part of his anthropological study of the now largely extinct or at least changed peoples of Central Asia and China. It consists of a unique travel book describing their culture and culture.

The exhibition, which will be opened on October 13 at 18.00:4 at Atatürk Culture, Art and Congress Center, will be presented to art lovers until November XNUMX.
