The space-saving bicycle parks in the form of umbrellas and cars, which Konya Metropolitan Municipality put into service to raise awareness after the two-storey bicycle parks in Konya, attract attention. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they have placed the bicycle parks they have created in different designs at various points of the city and said, “We continue to be a pioneer and an example in order to increase the share of bicycle use in urban transportation.” said.

Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay said that they continue to carry out exemplary studies in order to encourage the use of bicycles and raise awareness in Konya, the city with the longest bicycle path network in Turkey with 580 kilometers.

Noting that they have produced bicycle parks that will save space and attract attention with their visuality in the city center within the framework of Turkey's first Bicycle Master Plan approved by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mayor Altay said: it was much appreciated. As Turkey's bicycle city, we continue to be a pioneer and an example to increase the share of bicycle use in urban transportation. Previously, our two-storey bicycle parks started to serve. Now, our bicycle parks with 'umbrella' and 'car' designs are serving at various points of the city.” used his statements.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality has also placed specially manufactured garbage bins for cyclists on the sides of heavily used bicycle paths. In this way, cyclists can throw the waste in their hands into the trash cans without leaving the bike path.
