İBB subsidiary KİPTAŞ organized the 'Righteous Flat Determination Draw' for Tuzla Meydan Houses, the foundation of which was laid on May 31, 2021. Expressing his satisfaction that KİPTAŞ will hand over the flats to the beneficiaries 6 months before the promised time, İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu“Places where we create social spaces have been allocated to family foundations and personal uses of others by producing places in other projects and in different locations. Only in Başakşehir, our courts continue in 10-15 five places, in order to get them back, on behalf of the nation. We don't do that; what are we doing? We save space for our municipality. In some places we do nursery. In some places, we are building Family Health Support Centers. In some places, we are building Psychological Counseling Centers for our citizens. In some places we build libraries. We are adding 150 libraries in just this short period of time, '150 Projects in 20 Days'. We are adding so many nurseries. These did not exist. We are doing it,” he said.

The "Righteous Flat Determination Draw" was held for the KİPTAŞ Tuzla Square Houses, the foundation of which was laid on May 31, 2021 by KİPTAŞ, a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB). Before the drawing held in the presence of a notary public at the Ali Emiri Efendi Cultural Center in Fatih, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu and KIPTAS General Manager Ali Kurt made speeches. Stating that he is personally interested in construction and KIPTAS-related issues since he is a pre-political profession, İmamoğlu said, “I tire them a little. By the way, I also provide free consultancy to them," he joked. “As a person who spent nearly forty-odd years of his life in that field; I try to convey all my knowledge, manners, energy and these moments," said İmamoğlu, "We have to solve this problem together in this country where the description of the economic problems we live in, those technical problems we have, meeting people's housing needs, and meeting people's need for shelter, which is now in quotation marks. . Serious steps have to be taken," he said.

“HOUSING PROBLEM IS NOT AN ISSUE TO SOLVE ALONE”

Emphasizing that as IMM and its related institutions, they aim to produce houses with affordable payment conditions, earthquake resistant and high design power, İmamoğlu said, “The housing problem, the housing problem, is not a problem that an institution can solve alone in a country. So let KIPTAS settle it alone; cannot solve. Let the Ministry of Urbanization solve it; cannot solve. Couldn't solve it. Can't solve it. This is not an accusation front. There are some issues that; -we like it very much- there is a need for cooperation. Joint forces are required. We need to talk together and find solutions together. It's like fighting an earthquake. It's like solving the housing problem in a collective mobilization. Because it has stakeholders. It has economic partners. There are producer stakeholders. It has sectoral stakeholders. Producing together with all these stakeholders is an important issue,” he warned.

"WHO'S PROPERTY DO YOU TRASH?"

İmamoğlu answered the question "What are we doing in our own organization" with the following words:

“With all the possibilities at our disposal, we offer a holistic service environment by following the process of operating and sustaining life there, from the beginning to the end, not enough, even in the ongoing process, without leaving these principles. The issue we put forward here is to produce contemporary and exemplary social housing, to strengthen Istanbul with durable housing, and to make its people happy on the other. We tell Turkey about every job that we have taken as an example from here, and we say: This is how it should be. Do you know from whom we expect the same thing when we are actually making these moves in this way? We expect this from our ministry and other institutions. Let's talk together. Let's produce together. In other words, before we took over our duty, our lands that were zoned, planned, even with projects and even licensed… We could have built thousands of more social housing there. We are still dealing with their cases. A housing project that made our lands unplanned 2 months after we took our duty, canceled the license after 3-4 months, and after 4-5 months... I did not buy the land, the previous administration bought it. It is about to build there. I swear, my mind is not enough to understand the mind that made it a green area. Like why is this done? Whose property are you trashing? It's not mine. It is the property of all of us. For what purpose can you do this? What kind of political ambition or ambition is this?”

“SOCIAL AREAS ARE ALLOCATED TO SOMEONE'S FAMILY FOUNDATIONS”

Emphasizing that citizens expect state institutions to produce business together even if they are managed by people with different ideas, İmamoğlu said, “If we could also look at the housing issue with this concept… Today, there is a housing problem in our country. People cannot afford housing. We wouldn't talk about 'He can't pay the rent and live in that house', let alone buying it. We're talking right now. This is the situation we've come to. But we will overcome them. We are working very regularly to overcome these," he said. Imamoğlu said, “The places where we produce social spaces have been allocated to someone's family foundations and to someone's personal use by producing places in other projects and in different locations.”

“Only in Başakşehir, our courts continue in 10-15 five places, in order to get them back again, on behalf of the nation. Unfortunately. These did not exist. we do. If we are doing something that does not exist, you should probably know this by saying, 'Ingenuity is subject to compliment'. Yesterday, we opened 3 more university dormitories. And we increased the number of our dormitories to 10. It will be 16 next year. We currently have a bed capacity of 3000 thousand. We will pass 5000 next year. We didn't have a single bed that we could say to a student, 'Go and stay there'. 1 one. Big Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. So, was there no support for the construction of a dormitory? It's been done. But it was done again, it was handed over to someone's family foundations on a turnkey basis. Friend municipal institution; so all of us. He doesn't need such a thing."

“THE COST OF ONE STUDENT TO IMM is 5500 TL; WE DO IT WITH PROUD AND CONSCIOUSNESS"

Sharing the information that the cost of a student staying in IMM dormitories is 5 thousand 500 TL, İmamoğlu pointed out that young people benefit from this opportunity for 950 TL per month. İmamoğlu said, “And we do it proudly, we do it conscientiously. Because the families we identified registered in those dormitories without any intermediaries. We did these things by looking at their income, their needs," he said. Stating that all IMM institutions and units carry out the works within the scope of mass housing and urban transformation in coordination, İmamoğlu underlined that the city will carry its knowledge, skills and experience in this sense to different provinces of Turkey. “We are talking to Ardahan who wants to do business with us, we are talking to Artvin, we are talking to Tekirdağ, we are talking to Eskişehir. We talk to every municipality that knocks on our door. We have made a start in making housing projects that can set an example for Turkey in terms of doing the right works on the right lands, not by pouring money from our cash register, but by using our financial capabilities wherever we can. Its work continues. We will be laying the groundwork for this in the near future," he said.

“WE WILL GIFT A VALUABLE WORK TO TURKEY”

Emphasizing that they will produce designs based on the geographical, demographic, cultural and traditional characteristics of the region for the residences they will build in different cities, İmamoğlu said, “Everywhere in Turkey, at the same height, with the same reinforced concrete folds, with the same sections… It may suit Ardahan, it does not suit Hakkari, it does not suit Diyarbakir, it does not suit Kastamonu. You design something else there. It has a prominent stone, it has a prominent color, it has a prominent vital culture. For example, in Gaziantep, the balcony is used differently, but in Kastamonu it is used differently inside the house. Every place has a food culture. Every place has a way of life. Even here there is a formal process where cultures come together. In that respect, we will present a valuable work that proves this to Turkey," he said.

'EARLY DELIVERY' THANKS TO KİPTAŞ

Expressing his satisfaction that KİPTAŞ will complete the aforementioned project 6 earlier than anticipated, İmamoğlu said, “Our dear General Manager said that the houses will be delivered on 3 December. When we hold the ceremony, if the problems of the house with all common areas are solved and if there is an environment where some vital needs are completely met, from hot water to natural gas to electricity; there may also be people who say, 'It's ready, I have to move there urgently', 10-15 families will or will move… Then I will have withdrawn my desire to drink coffee in a family a little more. If you do this too, we will have experienced this beautiful moment on that date. I sincerely thank the General Manager and all the employees of KİPTAŞ, the sensitivity and valuable work of our contractor company there, for achieving my satisfaction today by completing it 6 months ago and being able to make people happy earlier.”

KURT: “WE ARE GOING TO AUCTION FOR 19 STORES ON OCTOBER 12”

Reminding that they put their houses up for sale with prices starting from 264 thousand TL and fixed installment payment plans of 2 thousand 800 TL, Kurt said, “We received more than 40 thousand applications in this way. We are putting our 9 street shops in this project and 10 street shops in our 'Aydınlıkevler' project in Tuzla, on Wednesday, October 12th, through the auction method, which has become a tradition of KİPTAŞ. Our aim in this sale is to create a source for our company and to realize commercial units that will support you before you, your beneficiaries, settle in your flats. Noting that they will deliver the Tuzla Meydan Evler project before the determined dates, as in the projects in Silivri and Izmit, Kurt said, “Our delivery start date was June 24, 2023. We will start the delivery of your apartments on December 3, 2022. We will deliver our project 6 months earlier than our commitment, again by signing a KIPTAS classic in social housing," he said.

After the speeches, İmamoğlu, CHP deputy Gökan Zeybek and their delegation, with the witness of Bakırköy 23rd Deputy Notary Public, Mustafa Kalaycı, drew the first winners.

FIRST IN TURKEY: GRAY WATER RECOVERY SYSTEM

In the project, where 158 thousand people applied for 39 real estates, priority was given to those who did not have a home and those who had not purchased a house from KİPTAŞ before. At least 40 percent disabled citizens, families of martyrs, disabled people from war and duty, widows and orphans, and healthcare workers who made a great effort during the pandemic period were defined as privileged groups and they were allocated housing. In the project, which consists of 5 blocks, 149 residences and 9 commercial units and has reached the completion stage by using quality materials, the most suitable payment terms of the period were offered to the buyers. Tuzla Meydan Evler project also came to the fore with the “Grey Water Recovery” system, which was used for the first time in a social housing project in Turkey. In this system, the water used in the houses (domestic waste water from showers, bathtubs, sinks, washing machines and kitchens, etc.) is purified and reused (in the reservoirs of toilet bowls and for garden irrigation). Thus, by saving both water bills and approximately 100 thousand liters of water, which is needed by an average of 150-20 people a day, a significant contribution is made to the protection of natural water resources and the environment. KIPTAS Tuzla Meydan Houses; It will also add value to the region with its modern architecture, children's playgrounds, shops on the street and a design concept that is not surrounded by walls.
