TITR “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” Working Group Meeting was held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

Georgia Railways hosted the meeting held on October 20-21, while TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Romania, Polish Railways and port operators in the Caspian Sea, Alat, Aktau, Baku Port Operations Directorates and other members, especially the General Directorate, participated.

A signing ceremony was held after the meeting, where TCDD Transportation General Manager Ufuk Yalçın, Deputy General Manager Çetin Altun, Head of Freight Department Naci Özçelik and Sivas Regional Deputy Manager Abdullah Yücel represented TCDD Transportation.

TCDD Transportation General Manager Ufuk Yalçın made a speech at the meeting where the 150th anniversary of the Georgian Railways was celebrated. Yalçın: “We are very proud and honored to be together with the representatives of friendly and brotherly countries on the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Georgian Railways. We feel the honor, happiness and power of growing and developing together while realizing great works together with friendly and brotherly countries under the umbrella of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Union, which was created to manage the BTK line effectively and efficiently.” he said.
