Bursa Bread and Food Industry (BESAŞ), one of the affiliates of the Metropolitan Municipality, provided training on Food Safety and Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) to all its personnel.

BESAŞ, which serves Bursa residents with over 500 sales points, continues its training activities in order to ensure that its customers, dealers and personnel are aware of their personal data and food safety. With the program held in Atatürk Congress Culture Center Hüdavendigar Hall, 'Food Safety and Hygiene Training' was given to the personnel by Uludağ University Faculty Member Yasemin Özdemir. In the training, attention was drawn to the visible and invisible risks in the products, the critical points in the raw material, input and output stages. Participants were informed about the risks of contamination, hygiene, hand washing, personal cleaning and protective equipment used to prevent contamination in foodstuffs. Within the framework of education; Topics such as how to record personal data, how to protect it, the risks that social media shares can pose with the developing technology and what information can be under the name of personal data, the responsibilities of the people who keep the data records and the destruction of the records were discussed.

BESAŞ General Manager Hakkı Gülşen said that they always prioritize food safety and hygiene as they are the leading company of the sector. Stating that they carry out training activities regularly in this context, Gülşen said, “We want all our personnel to receive the necessary training 'related to personal data' and to pay more attention to their work.
