Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with the Governor Gökmen Çiçek, met with the Undersecretary of the Nicosia Ministry of Tourism Serhan Aktunç and the Tourism Agencies of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and participated in the program on the Erciyes Regional Representative Board Kayseri Introduction and Kayseri Trip.
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, together with the Governor Gökmen Çiçek, met with the Undersecretary of the Nicosia Ministry of Tourism Serhan Aktunç and the Tourism Agencies of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and participated in the Erciyes Regional Representative Board Kayseri Introduction and Kayseri Trip. In addition to Memduh Büyükkılıç, Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Cyprus Tourism Minister Undersecretary Serhan Aktunç, Cyprus Travel Agencies President Orhan Tolu, Türsab Regional President Ali Emre Martı, Erciyes A.Ş. Chairman of the Board of Directors Murat Cahid Cıngı also attended. Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, in his speech here, stated that there is nothing better than the feeling of people coming together to get to know each other, away from prejudice, and touched upon the unity and solidarity of Cyprus and Kayseri. President Büyükkılıç, on the other hand, talked about the city's pioneering services in tourism and said: “I find this work that he has done with our TÜRSAB and its Kayseri branch in terms of establishing warm relations between our Kayseri and Cyprus is very important and meaningful. I would also like to thank our Governor in your presence for his approach, which will carry the tourism potential of our Kayseri even further since the day he arrived. There is nothing more beautiful than people coming together to get to know each other, free from prejudice. In that understanding, in order for us to know what is going on in Cyprus, for you to see exactly what is happening here, not by word of mouth. We can provide healthier communications by learning as much as possible on site and from experts. In addition, as Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, I would like to share with you that there are projects that our Kayseri has done in Cyprus on the subject of transportation master plan, with the instructions of our President. It was before the Pandemic, especially when the current President of Cyprus, when he was prime minister, entered the process of announcing his candidacy in Kayseri. One of the first provinces he visited as the President was our Kayseri. In that respect, the friendships between our Kayseri and Cyprus are very different and very meaningful. We love you. President Büyükkılıç, who talked about the tourism phenomena of Kayseri and in this context, Erciyes, the pearl of Kayseri, said, “I hope we continue to work on hot water by adding our High Altitude Camping Center next to our Erciyes Ski Center. An important destination of international standard. We are talking about our Erciyes Ski Center, which has 19 mechanical facilities, 40 ski tracks and a track length of more than 120 kilometers, which has received various awards at European standards, and whose prices can be said to be more affordable than European prices, which has now turned into a center of attraction for investors. Our aim is to present the beauties of our city for the benefit of humanity and to develop and consolidate friendships while doing this. Kayseri is a city that will make you feel the comfort of metropolitans and make you feel the troubles of metropolitans at least. It has 5 universities and around 1800 industrial centers. There is an export of 4 billion dollars. It's a self-sufficient city. We have around 100 thousand guests from abroad. We have 16 districts. Our President loves our Kayseri. We run from investment to investment. We run from service to service. Our transportation network is very strong. There is no transportation problem in our city. We are trying to be worthy of you. We are trying to make the Turkish voice louder everywhere, in our Cyprus, in our Kayseri, and in every city.” Serkan Aktunç, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus, said, “Tourism covers 73 percent of the commercial deficit of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Therefore, tourism is indispensable in our country. We need an economy that stands on its own feet. Let's not get pregnant with anyone. Tourism is of vital importance to us.” The program ended with the presentation of gifts.
