Bursa Metropolitan Municipality City Theater opened the 2022-2023 season with the play 'Caucasian Chalk Circle'. The play, where the actors became giant on the stage with their performances, was watched with admiration by the theater lovers.
While Bursa Metropolitan Municipality added value to the cultural and artistic life of Bursa with its cultural and artistic events, the City Theater opened the new season with a magnificent performance. As the new season of the Caucasian Chalk Circle plays started, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Fethi Yıldız also attended the premiere of the play at the Tayyare Cultural Center.
The 'Caucasian Chalk Circle', which Bertolt Brecht built on universal concepts such as good-evil, property and class gaps, based on a Chinese fairy tale, the siege of Georgia by Hitler's invading armies during the Nazi Germany period, the local people living by raising goats. This is about the resistance to the occupation and after. Levent Aras directed the play, starring Didem Akın Açıl, Nihal Türksever Erten, Mehmet Eren Topçak, Faruk Oğur, Aykan Yılmaz, Volkan Yıldız, Uğur Serener, Sergen Bölük, Didem Hun Liman, İpek Zeylan and Tuba Bayram. The decor design of the game was made by Aytuğ Dereli, the costume design was made by Gökçe Şener and the music was made by Gürkan Çakıcı. Gökçe Gürçay undertook the rhythms of the play, of which Mert Aksu was the choreographer.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Fethi Yıldız, who watched the play, which became a giant on the stage with the performances of the theater actors, presented flowers to the theater actors whom he congratulated for their performances at the end of the play.
The Caucasian Chalk Circle game will be played on Thursday, October 13, Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at 20:00 at Tayyare Cultural Center.
