Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival Introduced

Organized for the third time as part of the Turkish Culture Road Festivals, the “Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival” was introduced with the gala program held at Atatürk Cultural Center.

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Deputy Minister Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, AK Party Istanbul Provincial President Osman Nuri Kabaktepe and Beyoğlu Mayor Haydar Ali Yıldız, as well as many names from the world of culture and art attended the gala.

In his speech at the gala, Minister Ersoy stated that they extended the Turkish Cultural Road Festivals to 5 cities this year and said, “On September 16, we started the chain of festivals with the Çanakkale Cultural Road Festival. Çanakkale Cultural Road Festival was a great one and 35 thousand spectators attended the events. This made us very happy. Konya Mystical Music Festival, which started right after, ends this evening. Today, our Beyoğlu Culture Festival and Capital Culture Road Festivals are starting.” said.

Pointing out that they added the Diyarbakır Sur Cultural Road Festival to the chain on October 8 this year, Minister Ersoy stated that the Cultural Road Festivals will continue to expand every year.

Culture and Tourism Minister Ersoy stated that they embraced the Adana Orange Blossom Carnival in April next year as a Ministry, and said:

“Our activities continue with the Ephesus Culture Road Festival in İzmir, again in April. Next year, we are adding the Gaziantep Cultural Road Festival to our chain in September, as it is finalized. We will increase the number of provinces from 2 to 5 by adding 10 more cities. Thus, we will gradually expand the number of Cultural Road Festivals to all regions of Anatolia, starting from metropolitan cities each year. I would like to thank Türk Telekom, our main sponsor for supporting our festivals, especially the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival, for their contributions to culture and art. I would also like to express my gratitude to all our culture and arts stakeholders who participated in the festivals. Hopefully, we will have a full month with close to 15 artists and more than 3 thousand events.”

After his speech, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy visited the exhibitions “Synesthetic Cube”, “On the Road”, “Geomart – UT17”, “Istanbul” and “Colors and Techniques” prepared by Devrim Erbil, which were prepared as part of the Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival.

From theater to cinema, from literature to dance, from music to digital arts, from exhibitions sohbetThe festival, which will provide a comprehensive culture and art experience to people, will be held in 51 venues, 88 halls and 5 open-air stages.

The festival, which aims to transfer the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Istanbul to the next generations and carry it to the world stage, covers a 4,1-kilometer route starting from Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) and reaching Galataport.

The festival will end on October 23.
