At the meeting of the Transport Coordination Center (UKOME), which was held with a request for a raise, it was decided to raise the escarts used in shuttles, minibuses, minibuses, trams and buses. The new tariffs will be effective from Monday, September 12.

The Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), the Chamber of Service Vehicles Operators, the Chamber of Minibus Drivers, the Chamber of Drivers and Automobiles and ESTRAM convened with the request for a raise. The decision to raise money was made at the meeting held at the Metropolitan Municipality Assembly Meeting Hall.

In addition to the increase in service fees, minibus and minibus fees, there was also a hike in eskarts and transfers used in trams and buses.

ESTRAM's request for a raise is that after the urban transportation system fee tariffs that came into effect on March 20, 2022, electricity expenses will increase by 268% until the end of the year, increases in operating expenses, increases in natural gas and fuel oil, after the increase in the minimum wage in January and July in 2022. Due to the effect of the Labor Agreement, the increase in personnel costs was noted. In the justification, it was also stated that the costs of public transportation services increased unexpectedly for many reasons, such as the reflection of the increase in exchange rates on spare parts.

In the request of ESTRAM, “The rising costs due to the negative effects of the increase in the exchange rates and the volatility in the economic conditions have disrupted the income-expenditure balance in ensuring the sustainability of the public transport service. When these increases are evaluated; In the public transportation system, an increase in the ticket tariffs used in municipal buses and trams has become mandatory.

Accordingly, ESTRAM increased eskart from 6 liras to 7,5 liras, discounted eskart from 3,50 liras to 4 liras, and transfer from 70 cents to 80 cents. It was decided to apply 2,3, 4 and XNUMX floor tariffs for bus services to districts and rural neighborhoods.

At the UKOME meeting, school bus fees were increased by 20 percent, while the full fare, which was 25 TL for minibuses, was increased from 6 TL to 7,5 TL, while the student fee was increased from 4,5 TL to 5 TL. Minibus fares, on the other hand, were increased from 25 TL to 6 TL with an increase of 7,50 percent.

Decisions were adopted by majority vote. The new increased tariffs will be effective from September 12.
