Experts recommend drinking two glasses of milk every day regularly to strengthen the weakened immune system.

Stating that an increase in upper respiratory tract infections is observed as a result of the weakening of the immune system during the winter months, experts note that the consumption of milk, which contains more than 40 nutrients, is important in preventing winter diseases such as flu, colds and pharyngitis.

Emphasizing that milk has an important place in the diet, Nuh Naci Yazgan University Faculty of Health Sciences Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Department Prof. Dr. Neriman İnanç pointed out that the nutrients contained in milk protect the body against infections by ensuring that the cells that make up the defense system work well.

Reminding that the main nutrients in milk are protein, fat, milk sugar, mineral substances and vitamins, İnanç said, “Two glasses of milk regularly drunk every day can meet all the daily mineral needs of children and adults. The fat in milk is a very rich source of energy and is important in terms of containing essential fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E and K.
