Industrialists seeking new solutions in heating systems, which have a significant share in energy costs, in order to reduce energy costs; It turned to radiant heating systems, which provide savings of up to 60 percent in the enterprise and offer the advantage of installation time and initial investment cost.

The energy crisis in the world has also hit the Turkish industry. In the last year, the increase in electricity and natural gas bills has reached 300 percent. In search of new solutions to reduce energy costs, industrialists focused on heating systems, which have a significant share in energy costs. In this direction, many industrialists have turned to radiant heating systems, which save up to 60 percent in heating, offer easy installation and first investment cost advantage.

25% increase in renovation projects!

Çukurova Heat Marketing Manager Osman Ünlü, who made a statement about the demand in industrial renovation projects due to increasing energy costs, said, “Industrialists who want to control their costs have sought alternative system solutions in heating. Due to the increasing demand, there was an increase of 25 percent in the heating system renovation projects in the industry in the first quarter of the year compared to the previous year. Industrialists save up to 60 percent both in operation and in installation; turned to radiant heating systems that offer time and cost advantages”.

Savings up to 60%

In his speech, Ünlü drew attention to the advantage of radiant heating systems in terms of operating costs in the industry: “With radiant heating systems, there is no heat loss due to transfer elements. In addition, the radiant heater heats the designated areas in the space. Since it does not aim to heat the air in the environment as in classical systems, it provides savings of up to 60 percent in operating costs compared to classical systems, although it varies according to factors such as the height of the building to be applied and the insulation status. Thanks to low operating costs, the investment pays for itself in as little as 1 to 3 years.

“The one-day water consumption of the enterprise has decreased by 120 tons and the electricity consumption has decreased by 95 percent”

Ünlü also explained the advantage of radiant heating systems in the industry through an exemplary reference project: “According to the report of a customer operating in the rail systems sector, who is a leader in its field, which includes the advantages it provides in the business after returning from a steam heating system to a radiant heating system;

While the ambient temperature with the steam heating system works at 10-13 degrees in cold weather, the ambient temperature has increased to 17 degrees with the radiant heating systems.

In addition, the materials in the production area were heated by radiation, and the situation of employees being cold and clustered under the blower was eliminated. This situation has also increased the performance of the employees.

The one-hour natural gas consumption of the facility decreased from 615 cubic meters to 415 cubic meters. The one-hour natural gas consumption of the facility decreased by 32 percent. With the radiant heating system, which provides the necessary comfort conditions by working 12 hours a day instead of 7 hours a day, daily energy savings have reached the level of 60 percent. With radiant heating, which does not need water, one-day water consumption of the enterprise has decreased by 120 tons and electricity consumption has decreased by 95 percent.

30% more savings on the first investment

Noting that radiant heating systems were installed in a factory of 10 thousand square meters in one week, Ünlü emphasized the advantage of the system in terms of initial investment cost: “The initial investment cost of radiant heating systems is 30 percent lower than conventional systems. Because in radiant heating systems, heating is not done by transport as in classical systems. Heating takes place by radiation. The system is installed in the space to be heated and hung on the ceiling. The gas burned by the burner is circulated in the radiant pipes and the energy emitted from the heated pipe is directed downwards by reflectors, and heating is done. For this reason, in radiant heating systems, in classical systems; There is no need for transfer elements such as boilers, circulation pumps, fans, pipes/ducts, appliances, convectors or grilles.”
