Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyermade a statement on the subject after the decision on the construction tender of the Buca Metro was canceled by the Izmir 4th Administrative Court. President Soyer said that they will apply to the Council of State for the annulment of the decision, which he stated is contrary to the general principles of law and public conscience.

Making a statement on the subject, President Soyer said, “We have seen once again that for the future of our Izmir, obstacles will never cease to be put in front of every step we take with love.”
Stating that the decision taken is against the general principles of law and public conscience, Soyer stated that they will apply to the Council of State as soon as possible.

“I owe this statement to you out of respect for the right of the people of Izmir to know the truth. With the news we received this morning, we saw once again that; On behalf of the future of our Izmir, obstacles will never cease to be put in front of every step we take with love.
The tender decision of the Buca Metro, the biggest investment in the history of İzmir, for which we have financed with very low interest rates compared to its peers from abroad, and whose tender process has been completed in accordance with all laws and regulations, was canceled by the İzmir 4th Administrative Court on unlawful grounds.
Despite the fact that we carry out the process with all its transparency and in accordance with the legislation, this annulment decision is against the general principles of law and public conscience. We will apply to the Council of State for the annulment of the decision as soon as possible, and we will continue our legal struggle on this path.

Don't worry. This is not the first obstacle that has been encountered. We knew how to overcome every obstacle, we will overcome it again. Our heads are high, we are sure of ourselves.
