As reported by TRT News, Turkish Space Agency (TUA) President Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım; Gökmen visited the “Star Dust” photography exhibition of the Space Aviation Training Center (GUHEM) and gave important information about the lunar mission to the Anadolu Agency reporter. President Yıldırım stated that the spacecraft that will go to the Moon is in the manufacturing phase and that they have given the task of developing the spacecraft to the TUBITAK Space Institute.

TUA President Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım; Stating that the hybrid rocket engine developed by DeltaV Space Technologies continues to integrate it into space.

“This is a program that will make a splash in technology. Now, of course, getting to the Moon is not as easy a task as it is said and thought. We are working on it. At the moment, I can happily say that we, as TUA, assigned the TUBITAK Space Institute, which is in the production phase of the unmanned vehicle that will take us to the Moon in 2 years. Their design work has already begun. It is about to be completed and will be put into production within this year. Its engine was again made by a 100% domestic hybrid rocket engine, Delta V. This is already ready, only the work of integrating and adapting it into space continues. The tests continue, we are ready for this, but it is still a difficult journey.” made statements.

In addition, the concept of opening the Turkish flag on the lunar surface, which has not been finalized about the lunar mission, said, “Of course, this is not easy, but we are thinking about something like this; our vehicle will land hard or crash softly on the Moon. Meanwhile, we aim to throw a small particle so that it is not damaged during the impact, and then a Turkish flag will be formed when it is opened. We have such a study, but this is not something that has been finalized. It's a difficult operation. We are working on this, 'Where do we put it in the vehicle, how do we launch it?' Like these are raw thoughts. We have such a dream, that our flag will be raised on the Moon, let it stay on the surface of the Moon, and if we can do something like this on the side of the Moon seen from Turkey when viewed from Turkey, then people who look through a telescope and take pictures will be able to see our flag.” conveyed in the form.

TUA President Serdar Hüseyin Yıldırım; Stating that going to the moon is a high-tech capacity and it is necessary to demonstrate this capacity, he said that Turkey has rights in celestial bodies like other countries and that the law of space has developed.
