The ATMACA anti-ship missile developed by Roketsan and the KARAOK short-range at-forget type anti-tank missile will enter the TAF inventory in 2022.

İsmail Demir, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries, met with television and newspaper representatives in Ankara to convey the 2021 evaluation and 2022 projects. Describing the targets for 2022, SSB President Demir announced that the ATMACA anti-ship missile and the KARAOK anti-tank missile will be included in the inventory for the first time by ROKETSAN. He stated that the deliveries of Demir ATMACA had started in the past months.

KARAOK, which Roketsan started to work on in 2016, is expected to be included in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory in 2022. Roketsan's anti-tank missile family is expanding with the KARAOK, a Short Range At-Forget Type Anti-Tank Weapon Used by Single Privates. KARAOKE; In air attack, airborne and amphibious operations, it will ensure the effective performance of the tasks of stopping, delaying, channeling and destroying the armored and mechanized units of the commando and infantry battalions at a short range of at least 1 kilometer.

ATMACA, which carried out many shooting tests throughout the development process, successfully destroyed the target in the test carried out with its live warhead configuration in June 2021. Work continues for the surface-to-surface cruise missile and anti-submarine-launched anti-ship missile versions, for which ATMACA's contract has been signed and planned to enter the inventory in 2025.

ATMACA, a modern guided missile that can be used in all weather conditions, is resistant to countermeasures; It includes target update, re-attack and mission cancellation capabilities. In addition, thanks to the advanced mission planning system (3D routing), it can be effective against fixed and moving targets. Using the Global Positioning System, Inertial Measurement Unit, Barometric Altimeter and Radar Altimeter subsystems, ATMACA uses its active radar seeker to find its target with high accuracy.

With a range of over 220 kilometers, ATMACA also poses a major threat to targets beyond line of sight. ATMACA's; behind its target update, re-attack and mission cancellation capabilities is its advanced and modern data link.
