The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure DHMI Aviation Academy, which has been serving the Turkish aviation industry by providing training at international standards since its establishment, celebrated its 5th anniversary.

5 PEOPLE HAVE TRAINED IN 165 YEARS AT DHMI AVIATION ACADEMY
DHMİ Aviation Academy, which was structured with the new training vision in 2017, is appreciated in terms of training and service quality with the quality training it provides according to the ICAO and EUROCONTROL criteria.
Since the establishment of the Aviation Academy, 165.555 trainees received face-to-face/online training and 143.546 trainees received certificates.
The Academy earned a total of 7.423.368,80 TL as the training income given to aviation-related institutions and organizations.
ONLINE EDUCATION DURING THE PANDEMIA
During the pandemic period, the academy, which was rapidly equipped with the necessary technological infrastructure, started to be given through the "Distance Education Platform".
To date, 23 trainees have been provided with online and video-based training on 165.555 different topics of aviation. Trainings continue on the same system.
The Academy has also become one of the organizations that use the Distance Education Gate platform, which is put into service by the Presidential Human Resources Office, the most.
DHMİ Aviation Academy, which has the first authorized training institution certificate in its field by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, has completed its own structuring in previous years, while saving approximately 35 million TL.
TRAINING GIVEN TO 2021 THOUSAND PEOPLE IN 48
In 2021, approximately 48 thousand personnel were trained at the DHMI Aviation Academy in line with the needs of all units, especially in the fields of navigation and operation. Diplomas were presented to the students who successfully completed the education process.
Most of the trainings planned for 2021 were carried out by distance education method through the "Training Management System" offered by the Aviation Training Department. Face-to-face training was preferred in compulsory situations and in practical training.
In this process, 31 online and video trainings were organized with the participation of a total of 800 trainees, including compulsory trainings such as ATC, AIM, ARFF and SHT EĞİTİM/HAD.
4,5 MILLION TL SAVED WITH DHMI EDUCATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Thanks to the fact that the trainings can be carried out in the form of distance training via the Training Management System, all trainings such as the basic trainings of the newly recruited personnel and the refresher trainings of the personnel in the current operations were completed on time and completely. A saving of 4 million 151 thousand 482 TL was achieved in expenditure items such as subsistence, travel and accommodation, which are among the education costs.
DHMI Aviation Academy continues to meet the demands from the sector with its experienced staff and training staff.
Training support was also provided to the Presidency Protection Services General Directorate and Ministry of Interior Gendarmerie General Command personnel, Nişantaşı University Air Traffic Department students, and TAV, HEAŞ, HAVAŞ, THY, AYJET, AIRPAK companies. As a result of the external training services provided in 2021, approximately 1 million 200 thousand TL revenue was recorded.
