Turkey's largest city Istanbul Metro rail system operator, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality hosted by establishing transportation. During the visit, cooperation talks were held on the rail system works planned to be implemented in Hatay.

Metro Istanbul management, which came together with Hatay Metropolitan Municipality President Lütfü Savaş about the rail system projects to be carried out in the city, recently hosted the transportation staff of Hatay in Istanbul.

The delegation consisting of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General for Transportation Bülent Ok, Head of Transportation Department Nuri Baycan, Public Transportation Services Manager Barış Süner and transportation experts, Metro Istanbul General Manager Özgür Soy, company senior management and IMM Deputy Secretary General Orhan Demir and It came together in a meeting attended by the Head of Transportation Department Utku Cihan.

Making a presentation introducing Metro Istanbul at the meeting, General Manager Soy said, “In our previous meeting, we had a field study with the Mayor of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality, Lütfü Savaş and his team, and we dreamed together how to build urban rail systems in Hatay. During the Hatay team's visit to Istanbul, we both showed our company and the work we did on site and presented the 4-stage concept plan we prepared for the rail systems in Hatay. "If we get the chance to realize the projects we offer, our support will continue from the project stage to the operation."

"We signed 45 rail system projects"

Reminding that they serve nearly 33 million passengers a day with 23 kilometers of lines, 181,5 stations and 186 vehicles as a 949-year business and 3-year project experience, Soy said, “We signed a 588,30 rail system project of 45 kilometers with the goal of becoming the backbone of urban transportation in Istanbul. we threw. Thanks to the feedback we receive from our passengers and our management experience, we can think of the process 360 degrees and develop functional projects with an integrated perspective. We are open to evaluating cooperation offers from all cities in our country. Not only in Istanbul, Turkey, we all know very well in terms of geographical and cultural characteristics. Finally, we received the tender for the Ankaray (A1) Sewinghouse-Natoyolu Rail System Extension Line Application Project in Ankara and we will complete the project in the best possible way. Hatay is one of the most important cities of our country, both geographically and with its cultural richness. We would be delighted to take part in all kinds of projects that will make life easier for the people of Hatay, ”he said.

Cooperation decision was taken in the meetings

Accompanying the Hatay delegation during their 4-day visit, Metro Istanbul's Deputy General Manager Responsible for Projects Fatih Gültekin and Design Services Directorate experts gave information about the transportation model and possible rail system lines for Hatay. At the end of the visit, it was decided to cooperate in bringing rail systems to Hatay.
