In order to eliminate the transportation problem in Bursa, the Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its works such as road widening and new roads, promoting public transportation, and optimization of rail system signaling, is bringing another project to Bursa, which will breathe especially the Acemler, one of the nodes of urban traffic. The Metropolitan Municipality, which previously added two lanes to the return lane from the Izmir Road to the Ring Road in Acemler, where the daily average density in Istanbul is around 180 thousand vehicles, is even more than the 15 July Martyrs Bridge, thus increasing the passage capacity of 1000 vehicles per hour on the return arm. . All vehicles coming from Izmir and Mudanya direction to Dikkaldırım and Hüdavendigar districts had to use Acemler or Orhaneli intersections since there was no other alternative. Within the scope of the project prepared to eliminate this intensity, 4500 square meters of special earth reinforcement was made for İzmir road connection, and a viaduct steel bridge was fabricated for the passage over the Light Rail System depot area. The road width was designed as a round trip with a total length of 2500 meters and a variable platform of 8,50 and 14 meters. Landscaping, pedestrian and bicycle paths, lighting works and related infrastructure works were carried out. In terms of pedestrian and vehicle safety, 280 tons of pedestrian and auto guardrails were manufactured on the route. Thanks to the project, where the works have now reached the final stage, the vehicles coming from İzmir and Mudanya direction will now be able to easily go to Hayran Caddesi, Bursa Ali Osman Sönmez Hospital and Hüdavendigar Neighborhood without coming to the Acemler Junction.
Parking in front of the hospital
The Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its feverish work in the region in order to eliminate the traffic density in Acemler, on the other hand, provides parking for buses and private vehicles in the area opposite Ali Osman Sönmez Hospital. The city bus and car parking area works on an area of approximately 15 thousand 450 square meters, opposite Ali Osman Sönmez Hospital and on the Hayran Caddesi road, continue rapidly. There will be 15 buses and 1 taxi platform and an open car park for 272 vehicles in the area. The open car park will be used both as a regional car park and will meet the parking needs of patients' relatives after the opening of Ali Osman Sönmez Hospital. The bus area next to the existing Batı Garajı and Acemler station will be moved to the newly built location.
