Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge tolls entrusted to ASELSAN

The toll booths of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge are entrusted to ASELSAN: The toll collection system of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, the third Bosphorus bridge that connects the Northern Marmara Highway and Europe to Anatolia, was established by ASELSAN. The Free Flow Toll Collection System, installed for $ 3 million, makes it possible to collect toll from vehicles while traveling on the highway and represents the most advanced technology in the world in this field.
The contract for the toll collection system of the highway and bridge was signed with ICA İçtaş Astaldi Partnership on December 9, 2015.
Within the scope of the project, a toll collection system consisting of 9 toll booths at 100 points and a "free flow" toll collection system at 8 points were installed. The total amount of the project reached $ 16,4 million.
All toll collection tolls in the project accept OGS, HGS, cash and credit card payments. HGS and ETC technology combined with unique designs simultaneously supports both cash and credit card payments, particularly by ASELSAN developed exclusively for highway business in Turkey.
The Free Flow Toll Collection System makes it possible to collect tolls from vehicles while driving on the highway and represents the most advanced technology in the world in this field. ASELSAN Free Flow Toll Collection System also meets the important needs by integrating OGS and HGS toll collection functions. The system allows you to collect fees while the traffic is free flowing.

The project, together with the Gebze-Orhangazi-İzmir and Eurasia Tunnel toll collection projects being established by ASELSAN, provides the company with an important opening for the new highways to be built with the "build-operate-transfer" method.
Together with the highways and bridge projects that have been intensified recently, toll collection systems have been one of ASELSAN's most intensive activities last year.
ASELSAN conducts studies on Toll Collection Systems, Traffic Management Systems and Automation Systems in the field of traffic and automation systems. Within the scope of Toll Collection Systems, it develops cash, card, automatic, hybrid and multi-lane toll collection systems in accordance with customer requirements in order to charge motorway and ferry vehicle tolls.
