With the Yedigöze Drinking Water Project carried out by Adana Water and Sewerage Administration, the drinking water problem of a total of 4 neighborhoods in 159 districts will end.
Adana Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) continues the comprehensive project it initiated to end the drinking water problem of 4 districts, especially Kozan and İmamoğlu, and to deliver healthy drinking water to the citizens.
After Zeydan Karalar became the Mayor of Adana Metropolitan Municipality, the city's century-old problems became history one by one, and work continues rapidly to complete the projects that were started in the first period.
Within the scope of Yedigöze Dam Drinking Water Project, the drinking water needs of a total of 159 neighborhoods in Kozan, İmamoğlu, Ceyhan and Yumurtalık districts will be met.
In the first phase of the project, the construction of the 37-kilometer drinking water transmission line between İmamoğlu and Kozan started and 5 kilometers of it was completed. This phase, which is progressing rapidly within the project, is an important step to meet the drinking water needs in the region.
In the second phase, the construction of the Yedigöze Drinking Water Treatment Facility, which was designed to meet the drinking water need until 2050, started. The construction work of the facility, which will serve with a water purification capacity of 116.000 cubic meters per day when completed, is being carried out meticulously and it is aimed to be completed and start operating in 2026, according to the plan.
In the third and final phase, a total of 50 kilometers of drinking water lines and 8 new water tanks will be built in Kozan district. During these works, asbestos pipes in the central neighborhoods will be replaced with new generation quality and durable drinking water pipes that comply with health standards. In this way, Kozan will have a new drinking water network.
With the implementation of the Yedigöze Drinking Water Project, which offers an important opportunity for the development of the region, a reliable and long-term solution will be provided for the future water needs of Kozan and İmamoğlu districts. At the same time, ASKİ aims to leave a healthy living space to future generations thanks to the modernized infrastructure.
