There was an objection in the Türkiye Cycling Tour, the winner changed!

The first kilometers of the race were passed as a group. Although there were minor escape attempts, they were quickly caught up with the peloton. Escape attempts at the 18th and 33rd kilometers did not yield any results either. Göçek Tunnel was passed en masse.

Beykoz Belediyespor's athlete Samet Bulut, who achieved great success in the Kemer-Kalkan stage and earned the right to wear the Red Jersey, will compete in the Fethiye-Marmaris stage.

While he started carrying his jersey, he ran with a complete strategy to get the points from category 3 of the stage and consolidate his place. The aim was to collect as many points as possible and secure the swimsuit before the climbing stage on Mount Spil.

While almost 2 hours of the stage have passed, it has been reported that the cyclists pedaled at an average speed of 43.3 kilometers during this period.

Türkiye BEAUTY BONUS GATE RESULTS

At the 97th kilometer, the Beauties of Türkiye bonus gate was passed. The following athletes shared the first 3 places:

1- Konrad Czabok (Mazowsze)
2-Antonie Berlin (Bike Aid)
3-Smith Willem (China Glory)

The time difference between the peloton and the escape group when passing the bonus gate was given as 1 minute and 15 seconds.

CLIMBING BONUS GATE RESULTS

At 116.7 kilometers, the climbing bonus gate, which gives points from category 3, was passed. According to the door results, there was no problem that triggered Samet Bulut's swimsuit. Here are the results:

3-Burak Abay (Spor Toto)

After passing the gate, only Filippo Conca remained in the front group. Peleton continues the race en masse. Before the second gate, Samet will need to hold a very good position to get points.

THE SECOND CLIMB GATE HAS BEEN PASSED

At the 144.7th kilometer of the stage, the second climbing gate, which gives points from category 3, was also passed. Samet ran a truly strategic race and qualified to carry the Red Jersey in tomorrow's Marmaris-Bodrum stage. The scene on the second climb was as follows;

AN OBJECTION CAME TO THE FINISH AND THE RESULT CHANGED

While the peloton was entering the finish en masse, when it was determined that Danny Van Poppel had committed a foul while crossing the line in the last meters, the winner of the stage was changed and as a result of the objection, Giovanni Lonardi from the Polti Kometa Team was declared the winner.

Giovanni Lonardi from Polti Kometa Team won the Spor Toto-sponsored Turquoise Jersey, which is given to the leader of the general classification. The Belgian athlete was given his jersey by Emin Müftüoğlu, President of the Turkish Cycling Federation.

Giovanni Lonardi from Polti Kometa Team won the Mosso-sponsored Green Jersey, which is given to the leader of the points classification. Muğla Youth and Sports Provincial Director Açıkbaş dressed the athlete in his swimsuit.

Samet Bulut from Beykoz Municipality Team won the Turkish Airlines Red Jersey, which is given to the leader of the King of the Mountains class. Emin Müftüoğlu, President of the Turkish Cycling Federation, presented the swimsuit to the athlete.
