Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) took another important step in the field of international broadcasting and announced the TRT Spanish channel. The channel, which was introduced at an event held in Istanbul, was introduced with the participation of journalists from many Spanish-speaking countries.
TRT Spanish Speaking Countries 1st Broadcasting Summit
TRT was founded in 1964 and is considered an important media organization in Turkey. With the latest developments, TRT is taking an important step to increase its effectiveness in the international arena. "TRT Spanish Speaking Countries 1st Broadcasting Summit", the event where the TRT Spanish channel was announced, takes place on 25 - 26 April.
On the first day of the summit, journalists from many countries such as Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador and Bolivia participated.
TRT International Channels
TRT currently has international channels such as TRT World, TRT Arabic, TRT Russian, TRT German, TRT French, TRT Balkan and TRT Africa. With the addition of TRT Spanish, TRT's international presence will be further strengthened. However, a clear date for when the new channel will start broadcasting has not yet been determined.
TRT Natural Platform
TRT Tabi, TRT's international content platform, was launched in May 2023. This platform aims to provide global access to Turkish TV series and movies. TRT Tabi, which has a wide range of content from Yeşilçam classics to modern productions, aims to compete with digital streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney +.
