Traffic Relaxed in Konya with Taşköprü Underpass

Following the lower part of the Taşköprü Underpass, which is one of the four interchanges that Konya Metropolitan Municipality has recently brought to the city, the upper part was opened to traffic.

Mayor Altay, who inspected the Taşköprü Underpass, the construction of which was completed with all its stages, said that they were working intensively to relieve traffic in the center of Konya.

Noting that they completed the operations on the four-bridge intersection, which they started at the end of last year, Mayor Altay said, “We had previously completed the Sedirler Bridge Interchange and opened it into service. We are currently at the Taşköprü Underpass. As you know, this is an important axis for Alparslan Türkeş Street, which we opened this term. We had worked on an underpass that would reach Konya Metropolitan Municipality standards on Alparslan Türkeş Street, which connects Gaza Street and Karaman Street. Before Ramadan, we had given traffic from the bottom, and as of now, we have completed our work on the top. In this way, Kazakhstan and Karabakh Streets, which we opened especially around the Railway Street, were opened to transportation without interruption. We will continue to work to ease city traffic in Konya. “I hope that Taşköprü Underpass will be beneficial to our city,” he said.
