Stellantis Publishes its Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Stellantis has published its third Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report, outlining the company's progress in sustainability activities towards creating a better society for everyone.

Stating that transportation is a core element of Stellantis' sustainable progress approach, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said, “We aim for change in our own operations and communities by creating more inclusive workplaces to reduce our impact on the environment. "Progress in these areas is very important to successfully deliver affordable transportation to our customers and to ensure that our stakeholders continue to grant us operating licenses," he said.

With the existing 2023 battery electric vehicle (BEV) models covering all brands by the end of 30, 2024 models will be added in 18 within the scope of the road map for transition to electric, reaching 48 models. Last year, battery electric vehicle sales increased by 21 percent worldwide. Thanks to the growing portfolio, 18,5 percent of passenger cars sold in Europe (including the EU27, Iceland, the UK and Switzerland, excluding Malta and Norway) and 11,2 percent of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles sold in the US are electric or rechargeable. It consists of hybrid vehicles.

A comprehensive Human Capital Development strategy based on four pillars: Sustainable transformation based on co-constructive social dialogue; Attracting, developing and retaining talent, including 2,9 million hours of training; Strengthening diversity and inclusion, with women holding 30 percent of leadership positions; Promoting safety, health and well-being in the work environment.

Strong monitoring and implementation of the Stellantis Responsible Sourcing Guidelines: 3 supplier groups evaluated by EcoVadis account for more than 461 percent of annual purchasing value. The results show that Stellantis suppliers perform better on CSR criteria than on EcoVadis criteria.

Commitment to hosting communities: More than 366 million euros were provided to 5 Stellantis employees who participated in 174 education-focused philanthropic projects and employee volunteer programs. The Stellantis Student Awards recognized over 18,5 employee family members for their commitment to continuous learning and education. The Stellantis Foundation has partnered with CERN to open Science Gateway in Geneva as the new outreach hub for science education.

On the other hand, Stellantis organized the first edition of the Freedom of Transport Forum in 2023 as an initiative to contribute to public discussions on freedom of transport in a carbon-free world. Expert participants from different fields representing industry, academia, government and civil society asked during a live discussion on the subject: “In a carbon-free world, will freedom of transportation be something that only a happy few can afford?” They discussed the question. The second negotiation was on April 3, 2024: “How will our planet meet the transportation needs of 8 billion people? ” he addressed the question.

The CSR Report reflects Stellantis' commitment to a culture dedicated to honesty, responsibility and ethical behavior in all areas and throughout the value chain, and forms an important part of the company's efforts to become a more environmentally conscious, socially responsible and economically sustainable business.
