Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced that action was taken against 74 suspects in the "Mercek-4" operations that have been going on for 17 days against people carrying unlicensed weapons and gun smugglers in 869 provinces.
Minister Yerlikaya, who announced that a total of 519 weapons, including 54 unlicensed pistols, 6 blank-fired pistols, 128 long-barreled rifles, and 707 unlicensed hunting rifles, were seized during the operations, said in his post on his social media account, "I want our dear nation to know that; Our fight against those who supply unlicensed weapons and gun smugglers will continue determinedly with your prayers and support.
