New Citroen Releases First Images of C3 Aircross

Citroen, which offers accessible models for everyone in every field of the mobility world, has published the first images of the new C3 Aircross, which will soon be available for sale in Europe.

The new Citroen C3 Aircross, which will set the standards of its segment from the beginning with its innovative features, is based on the same Smart Car Platform as the C3 in the hacthback class, and thus provides flexibility and cost efficiency, especially in power-train systems. The new C3 Aircross, which has undergone a radical change from top to bottom, begins a completely new era in its segment by offering more interior volume, rich engine options and high-level in-car comfort features at an assertive pricing.

Adopting the new design language elements that Citroen first introduced with the Oli concept and applied for the first time with the C3, the new C3 Aircross integrates the new brand identity signature and assertive visual language with its design. Proudly displaying the new Citroen logo, the upright designed front section of the C3 Aircross uses a characteristic light signature with its lighting section divided into 3 parts. Revealing a very modern appearance, the design also emphasizes quality and attention to detail by integrating the double-striped brand logo into certain elements. In addition, additional personalization solutions are offered to further increase the perception of Citroen in the new vehicle. These solutions include personalization options such as a double-colored roof and colored kilts at bumper level and corners.

The new C3 Aircross reveals a radical style change, switching from the previous model with soft and elegant lines to a new design with a more angular, muscular and assertive stance. C3 Aircross again displays a strong SUV character with its high and horizontal engine hood, increased track width, prominent wheel arches surrounding large 690 mm diameter wheels and strong shoulder line. Each characteristic line adds dynamism and energy to the model. With all these design elements, the new vehicle offers a very balanced and strong silhouette.

The new B-SUV shares the same Smart Car Platform with the C3 hatchback, which was designed by Citroen from the outset to best adapt to electric solutions. Thus, the C3 Aircross adapts to the challenges of the energy transition by offering, for the first time, a hybrid solution that facilitates the transition to electric other than the traditional internal combustion engine option. It will also go even further and be available with affordable all-electric powertrains produced in Europe.

Scheduled to be launched in Europe in the summer, the new C3 Aircross offers a completely new vision in the highly competitive compact SUV market. In Europe, B-SUV sales have been outpacing B-HB sales since 2020. In this market where competition increases day by day, sales exceed 2 million units every year. Citroen entered this market segment in 2008 with the Citroen C3 Picasso. In fact, although there was no real B-SUV class in those years, Citroen offered a functional vehicle with an innovative approach, a "magic box" character, and a model with a raised driving position and a spacious interior. In 2017, C3 Aircross emerged, adding the codes of an adventurer to Aircross and still maintaining its practicality features.

Today, Citroen will introduce the new C3 Aircross, which has been redesigned to meet the expectations of families, in mid-2024.
