New Touristic Trains are on the Way

Stating that the Ankara-Tatvan expedition will depart from Ankara on Wednesday, April 17, Uraloğlu stated that the tourist line between Ankara and Diyarbakır will make its first departure from Ankara on Friday, April 19.

Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that the vehicle fleet was rejuvenated with renewal and modernization works and said, “By increasing the service quality, train travel entered the daily life of our citizens and changed their transportation habits. In this context, with the increasing demand for trains operated on conventional lines in addition to high-speed trains, two new tourist trains will be operated to serve travel lovers.” he said.

Minister Uraloğlu said that the Ankara-Diyarbakır-Ankara Touristic Train, which will be operated on the Ankara-Diyarbakır route with a line length of 51 kilometers, will consist of 180 beds and 9 dining car with a capacity of 1 people, and added: "It will depart from Ankara on Friday, April 19, at 15.55. It will depart from Diyarbakır on Sunday, April 21st at 12.00. "On the Ankara-Diyarbakır trip, there will be a 3-hour stop in Malatya, on the Diyarbakır-Ankara trip, there will be a 4-hour stop in Yolçatı and 3 stops in Kayseri for tourism purposes, and will offer the opportunity to see the historical and cultural values ​​there," he said. Uraloğlu stated that tourist train services will revitalize the economy of the region and that they will not only serve as a means of transportation but also strengthen the cultural communication between cities.

Underlining that Touristic Trains offer the comfort of home to travelers, Minister Uraloğlu said, “I would like to announce to all travel lovers that the tourist train, which will be operated on the 262-kilometer Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara track, will start its services from Ankara on Wednesday, April 17, at 15.55. It will make a 4-hour stop in Elazığ during the Ankara-Tatvan expedition. The train will depart from Tatvan at 19 on Friday, April 06.35, and will stop for 3 hours in Palu, 4 hours in Elazığ and 3 hours in Kayseri on the Tatvan-Ankara journey. "Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara Touristic Train consists of 9 sleeping cars and 1 dining car," he said.

Stating that the price of a room in a sleeping car on the Ankara-Diyarbakır route is 9 thousand TL, Uraloğlu said that it is 8 thousand TL on the Diyarbakır-Ankara route, 9 thousand 900 TL on the Ankara-Tatvan route, and 9 thousand TL on the Tatvan-Ankara route.
