Muratpaşa's First Mukhtars Assembly Held

District Governor Burhan, in his opening speech of the parliament, said, “It is not easy to get in and out of the ballot box. He started with the words "I congratulate everyone." District Governor Burhan stated that the number of female headmen in Muratpaşa increased to 31 after the March 9 Local Elections and said, “This is an exemplary situation in Turkey. It corresponds to 20 percent. We are happy to have female headmen among us. "This is the difference between being in Muratpaşa," he said.

'WE ARE STUDY FRIENDS'

Mayor Uysal said that mukhtarship is an institution of decentralization that started in the Ottoman period but gained its 'true democratic clarity' with the Republic of Turkey. Uysal said to the muhtars of Muratpaşa, "From now on, we will be colleagues" and stated that the muhtar's institution has made a great contribution to the development of democracy culture in Turkey.

THREE POINT FOOD

In his speech, Mayor Uysal shared the activities of Muratpaşa Municipality such as Turunç Masa, home care service, Environmentally Friendly Neighbor Card, art and sports courses, soup kitchen. While President Uysal underlined that the service standard established in the new period will continue, he noted that access to healthy food will be one of the most important working topics of the new period. Mayor Uysal said that in this context, they will increase the daily food distribution from the soup kitchen, which continues in the closed market place in Cumhuriyet District, to three points in a short time. Mayor Uysal added that at these points, a table d'hôte meal will be provided to those who do not have documents such as poverty or need, with a small contribution.

22 HEADMEN CHANGED

President of the Western Mediterranean Mukhtars Federation, Nazif Alp, said that being a mukhtar is a matter of love and said, “We set out to provide the best service. "May God not embarrass us," he said. Muratpaşa Mukhtars Association President Ahmet Akcan said that 22 new mukhtars took office in the district after the 31 March local elections.
