Kartepe Cable Car Carried 114 Thousand People to the Summit

Stating that Kartepe Cable Car is a vision project for Kocaeli, Mayor Büyükakın stated that the rides will be free between 5 March and 15 April. The cable car, which was put into use by the people of Kocaeli on March 25, has attracted great attention since then. 25 thousand people from Kocaeli and surrounding provinces used the Kartepe Cable Car, which will take the city to the next league in tourism, between 15 March and 114 April.

Mayor Büyükakın thanked the people of Kocaeli for the interest shown in the cable car. On the other hand, it was announced that the ride on the Kartepe Cable Car will be 15 TL for students and 250 TL for students, as of April 100, and other tariffs will be determined separately.

The Cable Car Project is considered as the first step of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality's very comprehensive project in Kartepe.

Kuzuyayla Facilities, which started with the cable car in the project that is planned to make Kartepe the center of tourism not only in the winter months but 365 days a year, have also reached the completion stage. After the completion of the facilities in Kuzuyayla, the chair lift and ski slopes are next. Kocaeli and Kartepe will be the shining stars of tourism with the facility, which will consist of a total of 3 chair lifts and 4 ski slopes.

114 THOUSAND PEOPLE HAD THIS UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

Kartepe Cable Car has attracted great interest from people from Kocaeli and surrounding provinces since the first day it was put into public use.

Between 25 March and 15 April, Kartepe Cable Car carried 114 thousand people between Derbent and Kuzuyayla. During the 9-day Eid al-Fitr holiday, the number of people using the cable car exceeded 80 thousand.

Transportationpark Inc. Kartepe Cable Car, operated by Kartepe Cable Car, will operate for a fee as of Monday, April 15.

Usage fees for Kartepe Cable Car have also been determined. Accordingly, the full fee will be 250 TL and the student fee will be 100 TL. Other tariffs will be determined separately. Those who will board the cable car from the station will be given a ticket with a QR code. With this ticket, you can board from both stations within a certain period of time. Thus, there will be no separate fees for one ascent and one descent at both stations.
