Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that Başkentray eased traffic in Ankara's urban transportation and made statements on the anniversary of the project. Uraloğlu stated that Ankara's rail system line was increased to 103,6 kilometers. Stating that Kızılay-Çayyolu, Batıkent-Sincan-Törekent and Tandoğan-Keçiören metro lines were put into service in the capital, he said that great convenience was provided in Ankara's transportation.
Investments Made
Minister Uraloğlu stated that, as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, they invested 601 billion 510 million liras throughout Turkey. He stated that transportation projects have been implemented in many cities, especially Ankara.
Developments in Railway Infrastructure
Uraloğlu stated that the railway lines in Turkey have been completely renewed in the last 22 years and the line length has increased to 13 thousand 919 kilometers. He gave information about the construction of high-speed train lines and increases in signaled line length, as well as developments in electrified line length.
