Emphasis on Quality Service in Transportation from Mayor Zeyrek

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Architect Ferdi Zeyrek hosted the presidents and managers of public transportation cooperatives serving in Manisa. Cooperative presidents congratulated President Zeyrek and wished him success in his duty. Thanking his guests for their visit, Mayor Zeyrek exchanged views with the cooperative presidents and managers on the problems and solutions. Stating that he knows the problems of cooperatives and public transportation tradesmen and that they are working to solve them, Mayor Zeyrek said, “I have known your problems since the election period. I promised that we would make the solutions from this table again. I constantly saw your grievances during the election period. We need to talk about how we can do things together that were not done in the past. We are talking about these in this room today, but tomorrow I will visit the cooperatives and we will talk there. "Maybe we will have a meeting in the meeting room with your members present," he said.

“YOU TAKE CARE OF SERVING GOOD”
Stating that his aim is to create common sense, Mayor Zeyrek said, “My aim is to create common sense and not to victimize you. We earn money from this job, we all bring bread to our home. We should have drivers who look after us, and we should not victimize them. In the meantime, we should not victimize the passengers and citizens waiting at the stops. We need to provide them with a quality service. It is my duty to repair this damage to you as much as the municipal budget allows. I always said this during the election period. You try to serve well. Of course, you will make money and I promised that I would pave the way for this. In this context, we did a lot of mathematics for about 2 days. We examined how Istanbul, Izmir and Kocaeli do this job. Let's switch to the per kilometer compensation system. Don't think about money, just think about serving the citizens well. We worked on many things mathematically for this purpose. Of course, I will not tell you "we will do this". No such thing. Let me present these to you, study them and do your own mathematics; "I think we will find common ground," he said.

“I WILL NEVER HAVE AN EYE ON THE MONEY THAT COMES INTO YOUR POCKET”
Stating that the wrong practices in the past will be put to an end, Mayor Zeyrek said, “There were photographs and prints of the former president on the back of your vehicles that he insisted on you. I think this is a very wrong practice. So the bus is yours, and it is your source of income. I will never, ever have an eye on the money that goes into your pocket. In fact, I will do whatever I can to fill your pockets. Because you earn money so that we can have better quality vehicles, provide better quality vehicles and services so that citizens can be happy,” he said.
