First Action, First Good News from Yusuf Alemdar

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar announced his first action after the election. Mayor Alemdar announced that they decided to apply a 20 percent discount on the water used for housing and that the decision will come into force after the first council meeting.

Mayor Alemdar, who started to take action steps for Sakarya with good news, said that the discount will start to be reflected on the citizens as of May. With this regulation, 1 million Sakarya residents will now receive the water usage service offered by Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (SASKİ) at a discounted tariff. The regulation will only apply to water used in residences.

Mayor Alemdar said, “We decided to apply a 20 percent discount on water to contribute to the welfare of our citizens. As we know, people of Sakarya drink the most delicious water in Turkey. With this decision, our water, which has the highest quality among all cities, will now reach our homes at affordable prices. Our goal is to be one of the municipalities that offer water to its citizens at the most affordable price. We have taken the necessary steps, hopefully we will decide on the discount we apply for water used at home in the May assembly. "May it be beneficial to each of our citizens," he said.

The decision is expected to come into force after the parliamentary meeting.
